John Brown America 250: Renewing the Revolution

Join us for John Brown Day 2026 at the historic John Brown Farm in Lake Placid, a gathering honoring the enduring legacy of John Brown. This year’s program features Spirit of John Brown Freedom Award recipients:
- Katherine Butler Jones
- Greg Artzner & Terry Leonino
- Louis A. DeCaro, Jr.
- and David Kahn
celebrating their work in justice, history, and the arts. The event takes place Saturday, May 9 from 2–4pm, followed by a ticketed reception off-site from 5–7pm.
A special kickoff performance—Promised Land: An Adirondack Folk Opera by the Northern Lights Choir—will be held Friday evening in Saranac Lake. All are welcome to attend this inspiring weekend of remembrance, music, and community.
