Join us on May 14th at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site in Lake Placid, NY to celebrate and honor the 2022 Spirit of John Brown Awardees (to be announced shortly). This year will mark the 100th anniversary of of the first “John Brown Day,” when Black leaders from Philadelphia made their first pilgrimage to lay a wreath on Brown’s grave.
Evening John Brown Day Reception: Join us at Smoke Signals on Main Street in Lake Placid from 6-8 PM to continue the celebration! Buffet style heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. Tickets for the evening reception are $100 per person or $160 for two (2). Tickets must be purchased in advance by filling out the registration form listed under event website. Reserve your tickets by May 1st!
