Blues at Timbuctoo delivers a generously spirited, deeply meaningful day of the Blues at the home of abolitionist John Brown. Held on a grassy hillside under open skies at the 270-acre John Brown Farm State Historic Site in Lake Placid, renowned vocalists, instrumentalists, performers, and storytellers come together in concert and conversation with the audience to, as bluesman Jerry Dugger and co-founder of Blues at Timbuctoo pleaded to a Lake Placid audience a few years earlier, to “reboot” a national conversation on race and what can and does connect us today.
